My computer has suffered from a nasty cold as of late and has been down for the last two week. Luckily a good friend of mine has volunteered his services to combat the great evil, but the old beast wont be back up again for at least another week. In the meantime some friends of mine are getting together to play some dungeons and dragons, so i did a painting to celebrate.

That's a very nice portrait of a beholder- how did you find one to model for you?
I actually drew it from a photo taken from a camera rigged with a tripwire, like the ones they use to photograph lions at night in africa. My assisstant Zugthog is also in the photo, unfortunatly he is no longer with us.
Poor Zugthog.....it was his porkchop loincloth that gave him away.....
Beholders also like pie- that might save you a few assistants.
ahhaha..... ahh the pork chop loincloth.... so many times it has seemed like the very best of ideas =)
It would be neat to see some other AD&D creatures- how about some mind flayers or an intellect devourer, or maybe some undead...or the 'goopy' monsters that always showed up on the wnadering monster rolls, like a gelatinous cube, or black pudding?
